The standard of care he had on ward 11 was very poor, well below any acceptable standard.

I hated having to leave him at night, even though I sat with him for fourteen to fifteen hours each day, changing his wet sheets, washing him, begging for his medication to be given for his pain. We could not trust them to care for him as he lay dying. Two nights before he died he was attacked by the patient in the bed next to him, it was a serious attack, but we were not informed of it at the time. We were not able to comfort him, it was and still is devastating to our family. Such things never ought to happen in a well run hospital, therefore present managers and board must go, with no golden handshakes either.
